One Sunday July 12 get set to rock your socks off at the first installment of the Broken Panda SnowZone parties, aptly named POWPOW! with one of the countries most highly acclaimed hiphop groups, MUPH & PLUTONIC with DJ BONEZ, and ILLY's OFFICIAL ALBUM LAUNCH, LONG STORY SHORT also, and DJ Dust & Mylestone in support. MUPH & PLUTONIC ================== By combining their experiences and musical inspiration, Melbourne’s Muph & Plutonic are doing their bit to widen the boundaries of Australian hip hop. An ongoing partnership thrived between evolving MC (Muph) and renowned producer (Plutonic Lab) through the release of their 1st joint album “Hunger Pains” in 2004. DJ BONEZ ================== DJ Bonez first gained notoriety as the almighty captain behind Sydney tandem Hyjak and Torcha; since then he has been one of the main DJ / Producers of the Obese family. ILLY ================== A story worth telling does not unfold by itself, and so with open mind and gifted pen, Illy’s Long Story Short is ready to hit the masses and promises to maintain the benchmark standard set by his new label home, Obese Records. Long Story Short is a tale about falling in and out of love with people, places, family, friendship, hip-hop, and travelling the world, a serious hospital scare and the ensuing long road to recovery.
